After breakfast departure for Sigiriya. Before leaving Anuradhapura to visit the ancient city of Anuradhapura, the first capital of the Sinhalese kingdom was founded fourth century BC. Considered as the cradle of Buddhism in Sri Lanka more than a thousand years it has been the country’s capital. A large stupa, ancient Buddhist monsters like Abayagiriya and Jetawanaramaya demonstrate glories history of the country. Check-in at the reserved hotel Afternoon relax by the swimming pool.

Morning leave for Polonnaruwa medieval capital. Beautiful evocative ruins in stone and shows the influence of the south Indian Hindu culture on the Sinhala Buddhist art. Afternoon climb to Sigiriya rock palace and fortress built in the 5th century AD is one of the seven UNESCO world heritage sites in Sri Lanka. Overnight at the hotel.

After breakfast, the journey continues to Kandy it is the last Sinhalese Kingdom capital and fell into British hand in 1815. En-route visit the golden caves in Dambulla. Remarks the spices and various medicinal herbs of Ayurveda. Visit the temple of sacred tooth of Buddha called “Dalada Maligawa” with a golden roof. Overnight stay at hotel.

In the morning visit to the Botanical garden of Peradeniya. Then technical visit of various artisans such as processing of precious stones and their museum, Batik works, wood works continues generation to generation their inherited craft. Morning leave for Nuwara Eliya called “Little England” Beautiful tea carpeted hill country scenery. Sightseeing in Nuwara Eliya mist covered and built by nostalgic British Planters. Also, visit a tea factory and tea estate. Overnight stay in the hotel.

After breakfast, we leave to the train station to take a train to Ella. The train journey to Ella from Nuwaraeliya takes 3½ hours and goes through beautifully landscaped tea plantations. This is said to be one of the most scenic epic train journeys is not only just in Sri Lanka but in the world. Arrives in Ella resumes your means of transport. Hotel check-in on the south-west coast.
